Gamestec on track with new Northgate three year deal
18/02/2011Gamestec, the UK’s leading gaming machine operator has signed a new three year arrangement with Northgate Vehicle Hire which will see the gaming machine operator trialing a vehicle monitoring system to reduce fuel costs and improve productivity and efficiency.
Northgate will provide Gamestec with a fleet of 24 Mercedes Sprinter vans with a bespoke Luton box body for use by their installers.
The new web-based monitoring system developed by Northgate means that vehicles can be tracked live online using Google Maps. The system’s reporting features allow the operator to view fleet utilisation and overall productivity, compare overtime claims with the number of hours worked, report on the number of hours spent driving and obtain the exact time a driver arrived and departed from a destination.
Wendy Barton, Fleet Manager at Gamestec, said: “We are pleased to be working with Northgate as they were able to provide bespoke vehicles which met the needs of our installers. The new tracking system also has great potential to help our business by reducing fuel costs and overtime claims and helping us make sure we are using the fleet in the most efficient way possible.”
Northgate Vehicle Hire is the UK’s leading light commercial vehicle hire company. It operates a fleet of more than 60,000 vehicles from over 60 locations nationwide, most of which have workshops for servicing, maintenance and repairs.
Northgate Vehicle Hire Sales and Marketing Director Gareth Jones said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Gamestec and tailoring our services to meet their specific needs. We are very much looking forward to working closely with them as they reinforce and grow their position as the market leader.”
